the Lectionary @ Highway

The lectionary is a fancy church-word for what is essentially just a calendar or a framework for journeying through scripture.

The goal of the lectionary is to give us a way to slow down, pull our eyes away from the immediate moment, and focus on something bigger: God’s story.

As we embark on a year using this framework for our sermons, we hope this experience helps reorient us away from the hurried, consumer-driven calendar of the world, and toward a life of intention, of purpose, and of waking up to the big story God is telling!
