Caring for The Unsheltered

For the month of April we're partnering with Hotel de Zink, a fantastic overnight shelter organization. We will be housing 14-18 homeless guests each night at our 3373 Middlefield Campus in Palo Alto. Part of our role as host is to provide an evening meal each day, and we'd love your help with this very practical and direct ministry to our unsheltered neighbors!

Step 1: SIGN UP
You can sign up as a group, as a bible study, as an individual, as a family, etc.

Step 2: MAKE FOOD
If you’re interested in signing up, but are wondering how to put a meal for 15 people together, we’ve got you! Let Jake know and he’ll send you some easy meal ideas to help get you started.

Step 3: DROP OFF… OR STAY AND SHARE!
Drop off is easy. Meals just need to be at the Palo Alto campus between 7:00-8:00pm on the day you sign up for, and they need to be delivered in disposable containers. If you’d like to stay and share the meal with our guests, you are welcome and encouraged to do so! It a great way to be present in relationship with our guests.

COST
Finally, we know that the cost of preparing a meal for 15 can be concerning for some. If your heart says “yes!” but your wallet says “hold up!,” just keep your receipts, reach out to Jake, and we will work out a reimbursement for you from our Benevolence Fund.
