Hotel De Zink
Caring for The Unsheltered
For the month of April we're partnering with the fantastic overnight shelter organization called Hotel de Zink. We will be housing 10-12 homeless guests each night at our 3373 Middlefield Campus in Palo Alto. Your help is essential for us to provide this very practical and direct ministry to our unsheltered neighbors!
Step 1: SIGN UP
You can sign up as an individual, as a family, as a group or a bible study, etc.
To start the process, simply follow this link: www.mealtrain.com/trains/e1rnqy
Step 2: MAKE FOOD
Please include a protein, a starch, and some cooked vegetables (raw veggies or salads mostly go uneaten and end up thrown out). Also, nothing too crunchy since some of the guests will have dental issues.
Dessert and drinks are welcome, but not required.
Step 3: DROP OFF… OR STAY AND SHARE!
Drop off is easy. Meals just need to be at the Palo Alto campus between 7:00-8:00pm on the day you sign up for, and they need to be delivered in disposable containers. If you’d like to stay and share the meal with our guests, you are welcome and encouraged to do so! It can be a great way to show hospitality and care.
COST
Finally, we know that the cost of preparing a meal for 12 can be concerning for some. If your heart says “yes!” but your wallet says “hold up!,” just keep your receipts and we will work out a reimbursement for you from our Benevolence Fund.
