Current Work…
• BUENA VISTA MOBILE HOME COMMUNITY: Food Security
Highway volunteer leaders, in partnership with the people of Buena Vista, set up and staff a twice-monthly grocery distribution for the families of this community. Program is run in partnership with CityTeam and Second Harvest Food Bank.
• HOTEL DEZINK: Homeless Shelter w/ The Opportunity Center
In December and in April we help care for the unsheltered as we open our facility to provide overnight shelter and serve a meal each evening to those staying with us. More details will be available as those months draw closer.
• SAFE PARKING w/ Move Mountain View
Each night we host up to four cars and, since the program began in May 2021, our site has helped nearly 20 people with a safe place to sleep, connection to a social worker, and the possibility of better long-term housing options.
• MISSION MOUNT: Spanish Language Church Partnership
Our partnership continues to grow with Francisco and Maribel as they share the gospel, lead in worship, and care for this Spanish speaking church community that gathers Sundays and Wednesdays at the campus.
